“Innovations for a Healthier New York”

Communicate ~ Inform ~ Collaborate

The New York Health Products Council is a non-profit educational organization of the healthcare industry in New York State.

Our primary objective is to bring together members of the healthcare community with the goal of educating New Yorkers about the power and potential of healthcare in New York State to cure disease, inspire innovation, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen the economy.

Informing New Yorkers

Since 1974, the New York Health Products Council has developed and maintained a successful reputation as the “go-to” source for accurate, relevant and unbiased information relating to the healthcare industry in general and prescription medicines in particular.

Educational Forums

The Council presents educational forums on topics that impact health care in the state now and in the future. The Council publishes the substance of each Educational Forum in an Executive Summary.

Partnering with Advocacy Organizations

The Council joins forces with many healthcare advocacy organizations throughout New York State, combining the differing strengths of industry and grass roots efforts to help foster a climate where the quality of healthcare leads to a better quality of life. The Heart Association, American Cancer Society, the American Lung Association of New York State, Inc., Schuyler Center of Analysis and Advocacy and the NYS Latino Commission on AIDS are just some of the many groups who have partnered with the New York Health Products Council.

When we partner with consumer organizations, they in turn provide insight into specific concerns associated with their members’ disease, by bringing patients and their prescribing specialists into the discussion. This dialog results in the important exchange of information that can help accomplish more than any one group could alone. Gaining the knowledge that leads to access to effective treatment is a major concern facing groups who often deal with formularies, pre-authorizations and other restrictions.
